What is Pilates?

Pilates is a ‘MIND/BODY’ form of movement that helps brings new and renewed awareness and helps create positive movement patterns. In the same way bad habits are formed, new habits have to be repeated over and over until they become the new 'go to’. 


Pilates increases muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, improves posture and balance. Additionally, Pilates can help relieve chronic pain, depression, stress reduction and anxiety while improving posture and muscle recruitment. This results in less stress on the joints allowing them to work more efficiently together.
